At its September meeting, the Foundation’s Board of Trustee’s reviewed applications submitted by the District’s educators for Learning Enrichment Grants. This application period saw the highest number of applications from our teachers and staff than ever before. All applications showed enthusiasm and a desire to increase learning opportunities for the District’s students. After review, the Board approved grants for just over $4,800.00. Some items approved for funding were equipment for a Video and Audio Recording Studio at Carver Elementary, and equipment and supplies to support the instruction and competition of a robotics team for third-graders.
The Learning Enrichment Grants are underwritten in large part by a yearly donation from La-Z-Boy Midwest, and this Foundation could not provide these grants on a bi-annual basis without their support.
The Board reviews and makes Learning Enrichment Grants twice per year–once in the fall and once in the spring. For Grant Applications, click here.
